Cancer Survivors Memorial Park

R.A. Bloch Cancer Foundation

In conjunction with Confluence and the R.A. Bloch Cancer Foundation, Dimensional Innovations worked to incorporate signage and informational panels into the public art and architecture during the renovation of the Cancer Survivors Memorial Park, located within Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza. The design goal of the park renovation was to create an open and inviting environment that attracts pedestrians and visitors from the vibrant Country Club Plaza district. A colorful sculpture anchors the northern end of the park, serving as an iconic element that draws people to enter and further explore the park.

The kiosks were made of Alumilite, and are built to be incredibly durable for a public park. The text is internally illuminated in order to bring inspirational quotes of hope to life in a powerful setting. The park was awarded a Merit Award for Design by the Central States Region of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
