The YRC Global Commerce In Motion sculpture expresses a simple concept in a distinctive way: getting from point A to point B is often more complicated than it seems. Dimensional Innovations used the complexities of a Rube Goldberg apparatus to illustrate the intricacies of a global logistics company.
There is a progression from left to right that stylistically shows the company’s evolution, from a more industrial time to a more modern, digital era. To accomplish this, the design team utilized a variety of different materials, including: stamped, clear-coated and polished aluminum; perforated and cast zinc and nickel-plated steel; bronze; exposed circuits; acrylic sheets; colored vinyl and digital media on LCD monitors.
